Congratulations to Tracey Regan of Stockport based insurance brokers JJ Yates & Co Ltd, who is the lucky winner of our recent Apple Watch prize draw.
Tracey's name was chosen at random after responding to an online poll at RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com, which asked whether brokers believed that suggesting their clients have their building sums insured professionally assessed by a ‘Regulated by RICS’ provider such as ourselves was providing INFORMATION or ADVICE?
Tracey's view was this was providing 'ADVICE'. However, she commented: "In my view it's irrelevant whether it is viewed as information or advice, it should be the professional responsibility of any insurance broker to let the client know of their responsibilities and how they can achieve them."
Tracey added: "Underinsurance can be catastrophic and emotionally damaging. Getting sums insured right, particularly for small businesses, is absolutely essential."
