Curious about the accuracy of your property's insurance coverage? At RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com, we've developed the Rebuild Checker, a tool designed to indicate the likelihood of your property being underinsured, overinsured, or accurately insured. Leveraging data from over 150,000 property assessments across every UK postcode, this tool offers valuable insights into your insurance status.
How does the Rebuild Checker work?
Unlike traditional rebuild cost calculators that provide specific figures, the Rebuild Checker evaluates the probability of misinsurance based on regional data. By analysing trends within your postcode area, it offers an indication of whether properties similar to yours are typically underinsured, overinsured, or correctly insured. It's important to note that the Rebuild Checker does not provide exact rebuild cost estimates but serves as a preliminary assessment tool.
Why use the Rebuild Checker?
Awareness: Gain insight into the potential accuracy of your current insurance coverage.
Informed decisions: Determine if a comprehensive rebuild cost assessment is necessary for your property.
To try the Rebuild Checker for yourself, just input your property details here. This quick and easy process can help you identify if further action is needed to ensure adequate insurance coverage.

Amy speaking
Hi everyone, my name's Amy, and welcome to my 2-minute Tuesday, where I answer your questions about anything to do with rebuild costs in no more than 2 minutes. So let's start that clock!
This month, Francesca in Aberdeen has asked: "What is the Rebuild Checker?"
Amy's answer
Thanks for the question, Francesca.
The Rebuild Checker is a new tool on our website that can be used to indicate the likelihood of a property being under, over, or accurately insured.
We've assessed over 150,000 properties and covered every postcode area in the UK, and this has given us a lot of data. Using this data, we can confidently indicate the likelihood of a property's insurance status due to the rate of under, over, and accurate insurance in each postcode area.
Well, isn't this just a rebuild cost calculator, you might ask yourselves? And the simple answer is no. The Rebuild Checker won't give you any figures; it just tells you how likely it is that a property within a certain postcode area is under, over, or accurately insured.
Want to try it out for yourself? Click the link in the description or on the screen now and give it a go.
Fun question from viewer
And now we have a very timely question here from Holly in Hull, who asks: "If hedgehogs could leave TripAdvisor reviews, what would they say about bonfires?"
I'd imagine it would be something like:
*One star. Kept trying to make it home and then suddenly—fire.
For hedgehogs, they think they've found the perfect winter's nest, only to discover it's someone's Guy Fawkes masterpiece in the making. Remember, please check your bonfires for sleepy hedgehogs before lighting them up. They just don't know any better.
Thanks for the question, Holly.
