Two of our surveyors have progressed to achieve AssocRICS accreditation following two years of dedicated learning.
Adam Barrett (pictured) and Murray Bodek joined RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com as ambitious RCA Assistants just over three years ago. In 2018, they enrolled onto an apprenticeship with us to achieve a Surveying Technician Diploma at UCEM (University College of Estate Management). Upon completion, they applied for AssocRICS accreditation.
AssocRICS is an industry-recognised qualification from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). It demonstrates Adam and Murray have the knowledge and experience to oversee desktop assessments, advise on assessment options and assist policyholders with queries.
Becoming AssocRICS qualified is a lengthy process involving two years of study. The application contains two parts - a 1,000 word competencies section and a 2,000 word case study. This is where Adam and Murray demonstrated their knowledge of topics such as contract practice, cash flows and sustainability.
Speaking during Learning at Work Week, Adam told us: “I wanted to gain RICS accreditation to continue my journey as a surveyor and further my career at RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com."
Continual learning and development is one of our core values and Will Molland, Director, highlighted its importance: “As RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com operates in a challenging market, technical competency is essential. Ongoing training ensures our team are knowledgeable, technically qualified and up-to-date."
Did you know we’re also a 'Regulated by RICS' organisation, so you can feel confident about our standards and the quality of our service.
